My friend’s daughter just had her 5th birthday, so obviously a baking party was necessary. We wanted to do something fun, so we went for the aesthetic of this rainbow doodle birthday cake from Sweetapolita. Seriously, what child wouldn’t want to draw on their own cake. I’m 26 and I want to draw on my own cake. We made this yellow cake and this malted chocolate icing, and also put a raspberry puree between the layers.
The rainbow layers are a lot of work so we planned on just doing colour swirls. Unfortunately, I was talking at David too much and forgot to add the colour 😦
So we made colourful cupcakes instead! Yay! We also made a bunch of chocolate truffles and lego men, but I forgot to get a picture.
