Earlier this year Duchess bake shop announced that they were planning to expand! Best news ever! This expansion would take their Provisions store into a larger location, as well as open a breakfast/brunch restaurant and teaching kitchen. As soon as I heard that there would be baking classes available I knew I had to sign up!
So the first round of classes that Duchess opened sold out in less than 15 minutes. I, unfortunately, was at work the day that registration opened and wasn’t able to snag a spot 😦 Luckily Duchess opened another round of classes a couple weeks later! I wasn’t working on the next registration day so I sat on the internet and repeatedly refreshed the Duchess website until the new classes were up. I definitely had a bit of a flash back to my biology degree, when I would wait for course registration to open up after planning my semesters weeks in advance. I’m a big nerd.
Anyways, I was obviously going to do these classes with Theresa and Roopa. There are two classes I signed up for: 1) Tea Time Treats with Theresa, and 2) Macaron Basics with Roopa.
In Tea Time Treats Theresa and I had meringues, financiers, madeleines, scones, and quiche in our line-up. Macaron basics will a bit more focused, obviously, but I’m sure will be just as busy!
